What are the rights, provided by the patent.
The holder of a granted patent has the exclusive right to prohibit other persons from using the invention, which is protected by a patent. The invention, protected by a patent, has a 20 year term of protection. The invention, applied for patent protection, should bear novelty, inventive step and industrial applicability.

The patent prosecution process comprises the following four phases:
1. Filing a patent application;
2. Examination – formal one and examination as to substance;
3. Grant of the patent;
