The General Directorate for Combating of Organized Crime raids the owner of a website selling counterfeit drugs!
The General Directorate for “Combating of Organized Crime”, the Department of Computer Crimes, Intellectual Property and Gambling and experts from the Commission for Protection of Consumers, raided the premises of the owner of an online store “www.buyhealth.eu ”, which offered for sale a significant variety of counterfeit drugs and health accessories at much lower than the market prices.
On the website of the online store, imitations of drugs bearing the marks “CIALIS”, “VIAGRA”, “LADA”, “LEVITRA”, “KAMAGRA”, “HYPETROPIN”, bracelets “POWER BALANCE” and others, were advertised and offered for sale.
The specialized police unit has established that part of the goods offered for sale were a health hazard for the potential consumers. Upon a raid of the warehouse, the store and the office address, related to the activity of the online store, a number of counterfeit drugs of Chinese origin were seized. The same have entered the market through smuggling channels. On the same addresses, were discovered computer configurations, through which the administration of the website was conducted.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated by Sofia Prosecutor’s Office.
