Commission on Protection of Competition sanctions “SIS Industries” and “SIA” EAD for the Savoy mixed drink advertising
“SIS Industries” OOD and “SIA” EAD were imposed monetary sanctions by the “Commission on Protection of Competition”. Both companies were penalized respectively of BGN 129 145 and BGN 14 278 under Art. 32, paragraph 2, in connection with Art. 33, par.1 of the LPC.
The Commission ruled that SIS industries should publicize the present decision within a week after it comes into effect in two national daily newspapers at its own expense.
The CPC proceedings undoubtedly established that the commercial of the “Savoy low-alcohol” beverage is identical to the advertising slogan of the liquor “Savoy vodka” and therefore misleading to the consumers
